Application Process



The process starts online by filling out the application form with your bio-data and providing answers to the questionnaire to enable us to measure your aptitude and the motivation to be in the gameshow.


The application is free! Candidates who best suit the mission of the gameshow will be selected for a 12 week intensive cohort to demonstrate their creativity.


An expert panel of jurors will assess and eliminate contestants every week across several testing rounds until the 10 best contestants qualify for the grand finale where the winners will emerge.

Funding and Financial Advisory

The gameshow offers funding from a pool of $250,000 USD. Founders will also receive expert-led investment readiness support for third-party funding.


Strategic Alliance

If there is a need for strategic alliance, we pair contestants with established affiliates for short-, mid- or long-term partnership for mutual benefits. Test-Prove Business Systems Contestants get free access to experienced startup success managers to test-prove key aspects of their operations after launching their startups.



In a nutshell,

the Changemaker will enable the rapid development of young tech talents in Africa, spark innovative solutions, create jobs, foster sustainable economies, build resilient communities and strengthen Africa's position as a tech talent developer and offshoring hub.


The Candidates To be selected, contestants must have, or be developing a prototype that solves any critical challenge in Africa. Our problems are unique, and we believe that the solutions to these problems should come from Africa’s rising generation.

Prototype vetting, good communication skills, and the exhibition of impeccable leadership qualities are very vital. A final shortlist of 24 exceptional candidates will qualify to compete in our Makerspace Open Innovation Hub in Lagos, Nigeria.


The Faculty To make the core mission of the Changemaker achievable, a dedicated faculty of Microsoft experts will be readily available to guide and mentor each contestant throughout their journey in the gameshow to ensure they perfect and launch their solutions within 12 weeks.

The Prize Money



Our jury will appraise each contestant weekly while the viewing public will also validate each contestant by way of mobile and online voting until 10 outstanding candidates will qualify for the grand finale to vie for $250,000 USD in prize money. The finalists and eventual winners will be evenly determined by jury deliberation and viewers’ endorsement on a scale of 50/50.
